Unbelievable. You're an inspiration. Most years I make lots of homemade things, but this year I haven't made a thing for Christmas. I hang my head in shame.

Those slippers are amazing! I'm highly impressed. I have not done nearly so well this year. More like, a couple things are handmade, with mostly store bought. But, i did do very well with scaling back, so I'm calling it a triumph regardless.

See, that's the opposite of what my ped. said (that vaccinated kids could get it), but they do need a booster. James just got his booster last year.Or, 2 years ago? So hard to remember. And I mentioned, I think she's less pro-immunization than I am (weird).

Here's a cdc link http://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/vpd-vac/varicella/ (a cut and paste "about 8 to 9 of every 10 people who are vaccinated are completely protected from chickenpox" ).

Weird that Chris got it first?

Anyway, kids get sick. James' hives came back today because I was trying to wean him off his meds. We all have our bad mom badges we can wear.

hmm I talked to my doctor about Chicken Pox, because friends of ours neighbors had it and there was a fear that it was spreading. He said that it is impossible for an immunized child to get it. And if it were to happen it should be reported asap. Yet I have heard people say it a few times.

I hope the kids get through the sickness quickly!! Your kids catching stuff is not a reflection of your parenting! If they were in daycare from birth they would have caught a lot more!

James loves to make "potions." I've had to make several things off limits, as potion making can get expensive. Do you have snap circuits? Like legos with electrcity?

Tough call on the fort. Avocado tree would be the best, except that it would also limit Ethan's access for a long time. That's rough.
